The following pages are a transcription of recordings made during 1983 and describe her early life up to the time of her marriage to William Henry Sanderson.

She came to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Winn and Geoff Wright, at 14  Longdown Road, Congleton in August 1977 . Her husband had died on 15th March at 67 Sherbourne Road, Blackpool where they had lived since 1948.

In December 1980 she was fitted with a pacemaker after a heart attack in Macclefield hospital. In 1983 started to have attacks of breathlessness.

Fitted with new pacemaker in November 1985 but the attacks continued, and in January 1985 she was admitted to the Memorial Hospital for what Dr Baker called "snake venom' treatment."

This was temporarily successful, but her legs began to swell and she was admitted to Macclesfield Hospital in March 1986 for two weeks and readmitted on the 28th April. Her condition very slowly worsened, but she remained confident and cheerful to the end. She died 6th August.(See the Wright's Christmas letter for information on her last months)

She was cremated at Macclefield and her ashes were interred in the memorial garden in front of the United Reformed Church, Antrobus Street, Congleton.
